We are attending the Thames Traditional Boat Festival again this year, having a stall onsite, engaging with the public with garden games and promoting the work Sport in Mind does locally.
We are looking for volunteers to lead on this event, ideally 2 per day, I will ensure the gazebo and equipment is set up and ready to go for the weekend. Below are more details, please let me know if you can lend a hand. All volunteers will receive a wristband on entry, so after your volunteer shift, why not have a look round at the boats, enjoy the live music and a nice cold beverage by the Thames. If you have a family member or friend that wanted to attend, we could get them signed up as a volunteer beforehand.
Location- FAWLEY MEADOWS HENLEY-on-THAMES RG9 2HY
Timings- 10am-5pm
Event info- Another exciting and fun day out or maybe even a weekend for the whole family,
celebrating the best in British boatbuilding and craftsmanship,
evoking the nostalgia of boating from a bygone era.
This popular, long-running event, now offers more attractions on the water,
in the air and on the land, than ever before.
featuring the largest fleet of dunkirk little ships ever to attend the Trad
and the largest display of traditional boats in Europe,
amphibious and military vehicles, aircraft and much more...
About Sport in Mind
Since its formation in 2010, Sport in Mind’s long-term partnership with the NHS has enabled us to transform the lives of over 31,000 people struggling with mental health challenges. While research shows that being active is clinically proven to improve mental health, sedentary living remains prevalent among children and adults with mental health problems caused by many issues (eg non-supportive environments, low levels of confidence and self-esteem, social anxiety, mental health challenges).
