The Accessibility Ambassador plays an important role in supporting supporters who may require additional assistance when attending matches.
Role Purpose
Wycombe Wanderers Football Club is committed to providing an inclusive, welcoming and accessible matchday experience for every supporter.
The Accessibility Ambassador plays an important role in supporting supporters who may require additional assistance when attending matches. This may include supporters with reduced mobility, hidden disabilities, sensory impairments, confidence or anxiety-related concerns, or those who simply require guidance around the stadium.
Accessibility Ambassadors act as a friendly point of contact, ensuring supporters receive a warm welcome and appropriate assistance throughout their arrival at Adams Park.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet and welcome supporters requiring accessibility assistance on matchdays.
- Escort supporters safely from designated meeting points to their seats.
- Provide a friendly, professional and reassuring presence.
- Assist supporters with navigating the stadium where required.
- Communicate any concerns or incidents to the Stadium Manager or relevant member of staff.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect the dignity of all supporters.
- Represent Wycombe Wanderers Football Club in a professional and positive manner at all times.
- Complete any required matchday reporting or feedback.
Person Specification
We are looking for individuals who are:
Essential
- Friendly, approachable and reliable.
- Passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
- Empathetic, patient and respectful of individual needs.
- Confident communicating with supporters of all ages and backgrounds.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Punctual and committed to attending home fixtures throughout the season.
Desirable
- Previous customer service or volunteer experience.
- Experience supporting people with disabilities or additional needs.
- Basic first aid knowledge (training will be provided if required).
Training & Compliance
Successful applicants will be required to complete:
- Enhanced DBS Check (provided by the Club)
- Safeguarding Training
- Health & Safety Training
- First Aid Training
- Any additional matchday induction required by the Club
