Join our founding board as Finance Director or Treasurer, helping a new specialist domestic abuse service for rural and equestrian communities grow safely.

The Bridle Path Initiative is a newly registered specialist organisation supporting survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence in rural, farming and equestrian communities. These are survivors who are too often hidden, isolated, and overlooked by mainstream services. We are building our founding board and looking for a Finance Director or Treasurer to help us grow safely and sustainably.

You will be working remotely and flexibly around your own schedule, and you will take strategic responsibility for our financial governance. This includes overseeing our financial health, helping set up sound financial systems and controls, advising the board on budgets and planning, and supporting our funding readiness so we can secure the grants that will let us deliver. You would work closely with our founder and small board, including our Safeguarding and VAWG Director. This is a strategic role and does not involve day-to-day bookkeeping unless you wish it to.

This is a genuine opportunity to use your financial expertise to build something meaningful from the ground up. You will gain board-level leadership experience, the satisfaction of shaping a new organisation, and the chance to apply your skills to a cause that genuinely changes lives. You will be part of a warm, values-led team at the very start of its journey.

Sound financial foundations are what will allow us to win funding, grow responsibly, and become an active service. By helping us build them, you will directly strengthen our ability to reach and support survivors who currently have nowhere to turn.

Your work behind the scenes will help make sure that no one in these communities has to face abuse alone or unseen.
