Summary
We are looking for a volunteer to support us in the Stoke Mandeville Hospital Bookshop, once a week for a couple of hours, on a Tues, Weds or Thurs afternoon.
Detailed description
Sorting and selling of second hand books at the Scannappeal Bookshop in Stoke Mandeville Hospital. You should be able to commit to 2 hours per week - afternoons only available currently (or relief ad-hoc cover).
- All books brought in by the public for the bookshop to be sorted in to hardback, paperbacks, fiction, non-fiction, special subjects and recycling.
- All books are cleaned and old labels and pricing inside cover to be removed.
- Library pages removed
- Book stock in the store cupboard until they are used to restock the bookshop.
- Paperbacks and hardbacks priced from £1. Prestigious books are individually priced.
- Bookshop is to be kept clean and tidy and safe for volunteers and visitors at all times.
Due to the nature of the role there is lifting and carrying involved. Would suit a couple/friends but equally happy if ok to volunteer on own. Note this is within the Oasis Cafe at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
