To support our charity by carrying out basic DIY tasks that help maintain and improve our facilities, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and functional environment.Detailed description
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general maintenance tasks such as painting, minor repairs, and furniture assembly.
- Assist with setting up or dismantling spaces for events or activities.
- Perform safety checks and report any issues or hazards.
- Help with gardening or outdoor maintenance (if applicable).
- Work collaboratively with staff and other volunteers.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times.
Skills & Experience:
- Basic DIY skills (e.g. using tools, painting, fixing items).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving and practical thinking.
- Reliability and a proactive attitude.
- Previous experience in DIY or maintenance (desirable but not essential).
Training & Support:
- Induction and health & safety training provided.
- Ongoing support from the Volunteer Coordinator.
- Opportunities to develop new skills and gain experience.
