We are looking for a team of passionate and enthusiastic volunteers to help renovate our garden for children with disabilities.
This role also involves creating a sensory garden to provide a stimulating and therapeutic environment for our children and young people with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Garden Renovation: Assist in the planning and execution of garden renovation projects, including planting, landscaping, and general maintenance.
- Sensory Garden Creation: Collaborate with our team to design and create a sensory garden that includes plants and features to stimulate the senses (sight, smell, touch, and sound).
- Accessibility: Ensure the garden is accessible and safe for children and young people with disabilities.
Qualifications:
- Gardening Experience: Previous experience in gardening, landscaping is not necessary.
- Passion for Inclusion: A genuine interest in supporting children and young people with disabilities and creating inclusive environments.
- Creativity: Ability to design and implement creative gardening solutions, particularly for sensory stimulation.
- Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff.
