As a Front of House Volunteer, you will be the first person visitors meet when they arrive at Wycombe Museum.
-PLEASE BE AWARE WE HAVE VERY LIMITED AVAILABILITY AT THIS TIME-
A typical day in this role may include:
- Welcoming visitors to the museum and making sure they have a lovely visit
- Introducing each of the exhibits/galleries
- Answering questions about the museum
- Answering the phone and taking messages
- Counting visitors and filling in feedback forms
- Opening and closing the galleries by turning on/off gallery lights, shutters, projectors, front door
- Encouraging visitors to donate to the museum
- Supporting group visits and events
- Being aware of what’s going on in galleries
Front of house shifts can be either: 10:00am – 1pm or 1pm – 4:00pm on Tuesdays – Fridays and Sundays. Volunteering opportunities are available every day.
A level of simple English is needed for this opportunity, in particular to ensure visitor safety.
