Community Allotment Volunteer Opportunity – Autumn 2026

Our allotment is more than a growing space — it is a place where people can connect, learn, grow food, improve wellbeing and build friendships across our community.

🍂 What will volunteers help with?

Autumn volunteering activities may include:

• • Weeding and clearing growing areas
  • Preparing beds for winter
  • Planting seasonal vegetables, flowers and bulbs
  • Composting and improving the soil
  • Tidying paths and communal areas
  • General allotment maintenance
  • Preparing the site for the 2027 growing season
  • Supporting community gardening and wellbeing activities

No gardening experience is necessary. We welcome individuals, families, community groups and corporate employee volunteering teams.

🤝 Corporate & Team Volunteering

We would particularly welcome local businesses looking for a meaningful employee volunteering or CSR opportunity.

Your team can spend a few hours outdoors, work together on a practical community project and see the direct impact of your contribution.

WCA can provide a friendly, inclusive volunteering environment where people from different backgrounds can work together, learn together and give something back to the local community.

We are happy to arrange one-off volunteering days or regular volunteer sessions, depending on your team's availability.
