Good Neighbour Scheme Volunteer Co-ordinator

We are looking for a Volunteer Co-ordinator in Stone with Bishopstone and Hartwell, to organise and distribute journeys to a team of volunteer drivers to transport local residents to essential appointments and social activities.

Operational hours would be limited to Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm. Exact hours can be discussed.

Weekend journeys would be organised during the week.

Main Tasks

• Receive and respond to calls and emails from parish residents
• Plan journeys according to volunteer driver availability
• Work out journey expenses (at 45p per mile) and communicate this to the caller
• Track and keep a log of all journeys
• Liaise with the Parish Clerk and Assistant Clerk
• Keep open communication with volunteer drivers as you will be first point of call for changes in availability, issues whilst driving, etc
