We are looking for volunteers to help plan and coordinate events that connect people and bring the community together.
About the Role
We’re looking for a friendly, organised volunteer to help bring people together through welcoming, community events held at, or for, St Lawrence. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys planning, coordinating, and helping create positive experiences for others. If you have a love of history, architecture or art, this is a bonus.
You’ll work with a small, supportive team to shape events that are inclusive, relaxed, and enjoyable for the local community.
What You’ll Do
- Help plan and organise community events
- Attend planning meetings (both in-person and online as required)
- Help with communications and marketing for our events
- Contribute to the development of planning tools
- Coordinate event logistics such as timings, setup, close down and resources
- Liaise with volunteers, speakers, or activity leaders as needed
- Support event delivery on the day (welcome attendees, help things run smoothly)
- Share ideas to help events grow and improve over time
What We’re Looking For
- An interest in bringing people together and building community
- Good organisational and communication skills
- A reliable, friendly, and collaborative approach
- Previous event planning experience is welcome but not essential
- Willingness to volunteer time flexibly around events
