Providing organisational and administrative support to the MND Chiltern Branch
Across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, Branches and Groups offer direct support for people living with and affected by Motor Neurone Disease (‘MND’), every day.
Our Branch Contact will provide support to the local Chiltern Branch of the MND Association by acting as a general information switchboard, connecting with people online or over the phone to link them with the MND Association for support.
Tasks and activities:
- Respond to general enquiries (calls and emails) from people living with or affected by MND, supporters or prospective volunteers and signpost as required to relevant teams
- Organise and book venues for regular events supporting people living with MND
- Provide clear, consistent and up to date information about the MND Association and its services/resources, as well as relevant Branch activities and support available
- Signpost people to appropriate alternative services or resources for help, advice or information
- Time commitment is flexible

The MND Association's Chiltern Branch provides practical help, information and local support to people living with motor neurone disease (MND) and those close to them, whenever they need it and in a number of ways. Our team of trained volunteer Association Visitors provide practical support and information and signpost to local health or social care professionals, and provide an on-going link to the Association.
Financial support within guidelines set by the Association is provided to people living with MND and can be towards equipment and domestic adaptations as well as services and facilities that help to maintain quality of life in terms of independence, dignity and social connections. Support is also provided to carers and to children and young people affected by MND. The branch also support local fundraising and awareness raising activities and any national MND Association or local campaigns.
