About KICKED
KICKED is a grassroots not-for-profit supporting men in crisis through mental health support, emergency accommodation, and legal guidance. Our mission is to help men who’ve been kicked down by life to get back up—offering peer support groups, workshops, community events, and professional referrals.
Role Summary
As our Fundraising & Events Project Manager, you’ll plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising activities that secure core funding for KICKED’s vital programmes—especially our men’s mental health workshops and support services. You’ll work closely with the Founder, Directors, and volunteer team to bring events from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage the end-to-end planning of fundraising events (comedy nights, galas, raffles, corporate workshops)
- Create project timelines, budgets, and task lists to ensure smooth delivery
- Recruit and coordinate volunteers, liaising with venues and partners
- Monitor event performance against fundraising targets and report outcomes
- Develop event-specific promotional plans (social media posts, email campaigns, flyers)
- Ensure all activities align with KICKED’s mission and brand guidelines
- Handle post-event wrap-up: thank-you communications, financial reconciliation, lessons learned
What We’re Looking For
- Prior experience in project management, event coordination, or fundraising (professional or volunteer)
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to juggle multiple tasks
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently
- Passion for mental health advocacy, especially for men’s wellbeing
- Based in or near High Wycombe (preferred) but remote candidates welcome
What You’ll Gain
- Real-world experience in non-profit project management and fundraising
- Leadership opportunities and the chance to shape KICKED’s growth
- Networking with local businesses, charities, and community leaders
- A reference or LinkedIn recommendation upon successful completion
- The satisfaction of directly supporting men’s mental health in your community
