We are seeking a passionate Volunteer Project Coordinator to lead our Back to School Campaign (Sep 2026), a month-long initiative supporting migrant parents.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a passionate Volunteer Project Coordinator to lead our Back to School Campaign (September 2026) – a month-long VIRTUAL initiative supporting migrant parents in Bucks and surrounding areas.

This campaign will:

  • Raise awareness of safeguarding and child safety
  • Promote positive parenting practices
  • Help parents confidently navigate school systems
  • Strengthen children’s sense of belonging and wellbeing

Your Role

You will take the lead in coordinating this exciting campaign, helping us test and grow our reach and impact.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and coordinating weekly campaign activities (e.g. webinars, social media, resources)
  • Supporting delivery of accessible, culturally sensitive content
  • Engaging local partners (schools, community groups, faith organisations, health services)
  • Increasing participation and community engagement
  • Tracking engagement and capturing impact
  • Producing a short evaluation report with recommendations

What We’re Looking For

We welcome volunteers who are:

  • Organised, proactive, and good at coordinating projects
  • Passionate about supporting families and safeguarding children
  • Strong communicators with good interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a small, purpose-driven team

Desirable:

  • Experience in community work, education, health, or VCSE sector
  • Understanding of migrant families’ experiences
  • Experience with social media or digital campaigns

What You’ll Gain

  • Experience leading a real-world campaign with measurable impact
  • Opportunity to build skills in project management, partnerships, and community engagement
  • Exposure to safeguarding and culturally responsive practice
  • A strong reference and recognition of your contribution
  • Opportunity to shape a project with potential for future funding and scale-up

Why This Matters

Many migrant parents face challenges understanding systems and accessing support. This campaign will help ensure children are safe, supported, and ready to thrive at school.
