Summary

We would love to hear from you, if you're interested in being a volunteer for our Cubs or Scouts. Volunteering could be on a regular or flexible basis.

Detailed description

We hold our Group meetings Thursdays (term time) in Stoke Hammond.

Cubs meet 18:45-20:15

Scouts meet 19:00-21:00

Volunteering gives you the chance to try different activities, visit new places and learn and share skills, all whilst making a positive difference to the lives of young people.

Volunteers can be adults, or if in support of your Duke of Edinburgh award, 13+.

There are plenty of ways you can help our Cub & Scout sections:

work directly with young people

support other volunteers

provide specialist support, e.g. fundraising, training or media

helping with events

Whether you'd like to help out week-after-week or whenever-you-can, we provide training, learning opportunities and cups of tea.

You would support our Cub or Scout Section Leader with the running of meetings, supporting young people from the surrounding area.

Why volunteer?

make friends and meet people

try new things and challenge yourself

get outdoors and get stuck in

Positively impact your community

create vital opportunities for young people

make memories that'll last a lifetime

build your CV

About High Ash Scout Group

We are a small and friendly Cub & Scout Group, meeting Thursdays in the village of Stoke Hammond (between Aylesbury, Milton Keynes & Leighton Buzzard).
We are keen to recruit adult volunteers to help support our meetings, whether on an occasional, or regular basis.
Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society.
Scouting helps young people do more, learn more and be more, developing key life skills & independence - whilst having fun in the process.

WE would love more help in the running of our Group, to ensure that we can continue to offer these experiences.
