Sci Fi Engagement Volunteer

Are you a sci fi fan? Do you love Daleks, Starbugs and Paranoid Androids? Are you interested in sharing your passion with others?

We are looking for sci-fi fans to enhance our upcoming exhibition ‘Beyond the Stars: A Propmaker’s Guide to the Galaxy’ which will be running from 24 May – 5 October 2025.

You will help engage guests in our fantastic new gallery by sharing your passion and knowledge with them.

This will include: welcoming visitors, helping to answer questions about the exhibition, encouraging guests to engage with the interactive elements and ensuring every visitor has a special day with us.

You will also help us in fire evacuations and ensure the safety of visitors in your area and the security of the building and collections.

You will receive full training and support in this role. Anyone wishing to don an appropriate sci-fic costume to volunteer is encouraged to do so!

We are looking for volunteers who can commit to full or half days on weekends or weekdays.

Half days run from 11-1 or 12-2 on weekdays, and from 10-1 or 12-3 on weekends. Other hours are subject to negotiation with our Volunteer Supervisor.
