Free in-person coaching workship with leadership expert Fran Borg-Wheeler.

Change is a constant for charity leaders and their teams- from policy and Government changes and organisational restructuring to role remits, service- user need and the rapid emergence of AI. But while organisations may describe change as “transformation” or “growth”, the experience for staff can involve complex emotions, uncertainty and a sense of loss or threat.

This practical, interactive session explores how leaders can support their people through change while maintaining morale, performance and organisational impact.

Using the SCARF model and realistic charity-sector case studies, we’ll explore how leaders can recognise potential threat responses, create the conditions for people to adapt and thrive, and use practical tools to lead change effectively.

You’ll leave with tools and actions you can apply immediately, as well as an opportunity to reflect on a current change challenge in your own organisation.

What you will take away from this event:

By the end of the session, you will learn how to:

  • Recognise how staff respond to change and drivers for difficult reactions.
  • Use the SCARF model to identify and reduce sources of threat during change.
  • Apply practical approaches to support staff engagement and performance.
  • Use approaches to think through a current change challenge in their charity.
  • Create a toolkit to strengthen their staff support.

This session will also give you the opportunity to network with other professionals in the small charity sector and share insights.
