Summary

We are looking for a specialist volunteer to provide human resources advice and expertise to our senior leadership team and trustees.

Detailed description

HR Volunteering role: Flexible hours – up to 3 days over a 3–4 month period (July – October). Potential for extension and further opportunities if desired


We are reviewing our approach and processes for performance and personal development and seeking a professional with experience and knowledge of supporting teams and managers to develop and embed a performance review process that is motivating, supports organisational priorities and coaches individuals to succeed. Alongside this process we want to ensure all staff have a personal development plan that promotes growth in their role and career aspirations. 


We are looking for a HR professional to support our senior leadership team and trustees review and implement our performance and personal development approach.


This will include:

· Developing a staff engagement survey with the senior leadership team

· Advising the performance review working group on performance review approaches and personal development planning

· Reviewing existing documents and processes and bringing ideas to share to renew this in line with the organisations ambition for a high-performing, values-driven culture.

· Supporting the team to review and embed the organisations performance and personal development process.

· Developing and advising on training for managers to carry out performance and personal development conversations.


Skills/experience:

- An experienced human resources professional

- Ability to work as part of a small team

- Good communications skills, both written and verbal

- Experience of the charity, voluntary or community sector or understanding of the motivations of staff working in the charity sector useful, but not essential.
