Join us for the first in a series of free board effectiveness webinars to help local Buckinghamshire charities become more effective.
An effective board starts with a clear understanding of what the trustee role is and what it isn’t.
The most effective boards recognise that trustees are there to ask the right questions, provide strategic guidance, and support leaders without trying to run the organisation themselves.
What you will take away from this event
We will be joined by Nigel Kippax, whose knowledge and experience of the sector will provide understanding of:
- What a trustee role should and shouldn’t be
- Pitfalls to avoid and how to navigate them
This session will also give attendees the opportunity to network with other professions in the small charity sector and share insights.
Meet Your Speaker
Nigel Kippax works with a range of charities and community organisations to help their leaders take the right steps to being the best they can be through governance, strategy and business development.
Nigel has many years of experience in the corporate and charitable sector. He runs Charity Leaders and is also an associate consultant on governance and risk with the Charity Finance Group. He believes strongly that leaders in voluntary and corporate organisations have a lot to learn from each other.
