To join a team of 3 coordinators to liaise between doctors surgery to take patients bookings and the drivers who will transport the patient.

The award winning hospital car service is part of Community Care North Bucks. We transport patients, who are registered with Swan Practice or Norden House, Winslow from their homes to their hospital appointments.

The coordinator needs to be on duty one week in four and be available between 4pm and 5pm each day to take the calls for the surgeries to take down the booking details and record on a word processing document. In their own timescale the coordinator needs to assign drivers, usually contacting the drivers by email to arrange the driver for the patient. The driver then contacts the patient. The coordinator does not usually need to contact the patient.

The coordinator needs to have reasonable IT skills and be competent using email. They need to be organised and have attention to detail. When on duty the time commitment can be  2-3 hours a day. We transport approximately 140 patients a month. We work with a team of 30 plus drivers who are all very willing and committed.

Once a month the coordinators meet for coffee and a catch up.

Full support and training will be given.
