Managing applications from potential volunteers. Managing recruitment records as they move through recruitment and training process.

Chiltern Samaritans Branch Volunteer Recruitment Administrator

Chiltern Samaritans has been based in Amersham for more than 50 years. Our vision is for fewer people to die of suicide – something we work towards by supporting callers on the phone and in our local community.

We are looking for a volunteer administrator to join our branch recruitment team. You will support our Deputy Director Recruitment and the interview team to manage applications from potential volunteers ensuring those who want to volunteer with us are contacted in a timely manner and contact is maintained throughout the recruitment process. You will also manage the recruitment records as potential new Samaritans move through our recruitment and training process.

This role is expected to be for 4-7 hours a week which may vary throughout the year. It is home based but you could choose to come into our branch in Amersham. It involves the use of our Branch Management Tool so IT skills are essential as is access to a computer. Organisational skills and an eye for detail in record keeping are important in this role.

You will be working with a small team of recruitment volunteers as well as our applicants, so a friendly manner is essential.

Before starting this role, you will be required to do a suite of Samaritans online learning and complete DBS clearance.
