We’re looking for a Communications Volunteer to support our Comms Team, working remotely from home for 1-2 days per week.

Love social media, enjoy creating content and want to use your digital skills for good? We’re looking for a Communications Volunteer to help us share the difference our work makes. You’ll get involved in social media, content ideas, research and communications analytics, with plenty of opportunities to learn along the way. You don’t need previous communications experience – just curiosity, confidence online and a willingness to get stuck in. If you’re creative, organised and enjoy finding out what makes people engage, we’d love to have you on board!

Chiltern Music Therapy is a not-for-profit organisation using music to help people of all ages connect, communicate, and thrive. We believe in a caring world where music is a transformative thread in everyday life.

Together, we harness the power of music, inspire through human story, and fascinate through science to build inclusive, supportive communities.

What You’ll Do

  • Help generate ideas for and create social media content and promotional materials;
  • Support and monitor our social media channels;
  • Help with comms analytics and reports;
  • Carry out research to support promotional activity

Who This Role Is For

  • Someone who is creative and enjoys design work;
  • Someone who is confident digitally with various social media channels;
  • Someone who is comfortable with, and enjoys, social media and content creation;
  • Someone who has good research/analytical skills;
  • Someone comfortable with tools such as Cava - or willing to learn if not!
  • Someone able to commit to 1-2 days a week, with one of those days being a Tuesday or Thursday.

What You’ll Gain

  • The opportunity to make a meaningful difference supporting a small, purpose-driven Community Interest Company;
  • Hands-on social media experience;
  • Development of content creation, digital and communication skills;
  • The chance to use and grow your creativity.

If you’d like to use your digital communication and social media skills to support our mission for music to be the transformative thread in people’s lives, please get in touch!
