Flexible research role helping a new ADHD CIC explore local need, gather community feedback and support future projects.
Chiltern ADHD Clinic CIC is a new Community Interest Company providing free and low-cost support for neurodivergent people, families and the local community.
We are looking for a Volunteer Research Assistant to help us better understand local need, gather community views and support small research and evaluation projects.
This is a flexible role and would suit someone interested in psychology, mental health, neurodivergence, community research, public health, social impact or the charity/CIC sector.
Tasks may include:
- Helping design short surveys or feedback forms
- Gathering views from the local community
- Researching local need around ADHD, autism and neurodivergent support
- Looking at gaps in services across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes
- Collating survey responses and feedback
- Pulling out key themes from community responses
- Helping track attendance, outcomes and impact from groups or workshops
- Supporting small research or evaluation projects
- Helping turn findings into short reports, summaries or funding evidence - Jennie would also love to look at publishing findings
- Supporting Jennie with ad hoc research tasks
You do not need formal research work experience, but you should have experience of this area such as:
- Conducting research projects
- Audits
- Gaining informed consent
- Market research
- Focus groups
- Dissertations
- Statistics
- Scientific studies
- Data anaylsis etc
Jennie has completed a MSc and BSc Hons so can provide some support and guidance, but the expectation is an understanding of the above as Jennie has limited time to support learning.
This role is unlikely to involve accessing confidential clinical records. Any community feedback or survey work will be handled appropriately, with care around consent, anonymity and confidentiality.
This opportunity would be especially useful for someone wanting experience in psychology, mental health, public health, research, social prescribing, community work, charities or CICs.
You will gain practical experience in community research, service evaluation and impact reporting. Your work will help us understand what neurodivergent people locally actually need, shape future projects and strengthen funding applications for free and low-cost support.
