Flexible writing role creating blogs, Substack posts, resources and event content for a new ADHD CIC supporting the local community.
Chiltern ADHD Clinic CIC is a new Community Interest Company providing free and low-cost support for neurodivergent people, families and the local community.
We are looking for a Volunteer Blog / Resource Writer to help us create accessible, useful and engaging written content for our website, Substack, social media and community projects.
This is a flexible role and would suit someone who enjoys writing, researching topics and turning information into clear, practical resources.
Tasks may include:
- Writing blog posts for the Chiltern ADHD Clinic CIC website
- Drafting Substack posts or newsletter style updates
- Creating short resources, tipsheets or “what to expect” guides
- Writing summaries of workshops, events or community projects
- Turning research into easy-to-read content
- Helping create captions or short written content where needed
- Drafting articles about ADHD, autism, neurodivergence, regulation, access to support or local community work
- Supporting Jennie and Laura with ad hoc writing tasks
You do not need to be an expert writer. We are looking for someone who can write clearly, sensitively and accessibly. An interest in ADHD, autism, mental health, psychology or community support would be helpful.
All content will be reviewed and approved before anything is published. You will not be expected to give clinical advice or respond to private messages.
AI tools can be used to support ideas or editing, but the writing must be your own. We are not looking for copied or fully AI-generated content. All work will be reviewed before publication, and we may ask for edits or discuss your writing process where needed.
This role would suit someone interested in psychology, writing, mental health, marketing, content creation, journalism, community work, charities or CICs.
You will gain real writing experience, develop your portfolio, learn how to create content for a purpose-led organisation, and help make neurodivergent support more accessible and less intimidating.
