Seeking individuals to host and support the delivery of a 'Chatter & Natter' table.
The Chalfonts and Gerrards Cross Buckinghamshire Community Wellbeing Hub is delighted to announce that it is part of The Chatty Cafe Scheme. The Chatty Cafe Scheme is a national initiative which aims to tackle loneliness and social isolation by creating welcoming spaces where people can come together for a friendly chat. As part of this initiative, the hub hosts a weekly ‘Chatter & Natter’ table, open to all members of the community.
The hubs “Chatter & Natter” table runs every Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) from 9:30am to 11:30am.
The hub is currently recruiting volunteers to host and support the delivery of the scheme. Applicants must be aged 18 or over and willing to provide a character reference upon request from a member of The Chatty Cafe Scheme staff.
Volunteers play a vital role in ensuring the scheme remains accessible, helping create opportunities for a wide range of people to connect and engage socially. Volunteers are free to choose their hours in line with the opening times of the ‘Chatter & Natter’ table, with no minimum time commitment required.
Loneliness is a silent issue, and this is a great way to bring people together in our community. Do you enjoy meeting new people? Are you interested in an opportunity to support and enhance the wellbeing of others? If so, please get in touch.

About Chalfonts and Gerrards Cross Buckinghamshire Community Wellbeing Hub
A bit about us- Funded by Friends of Chalfonts and Gerrards Cross Community Hospital, the BCW Hub is a dedicated space for health, wellbeing, and social care activities to support the local community in South Buckinghamshire. The Buckinghamshire Community Wellbeing Hub launched in 2023, and to date, we have co-designed and co-delivered physical community wellbeing hubs based at Buckinghamshire New University (BNU) campuses in Aylesbury and High Wycombe. The hub began as a partnership with BNU and Bucks Health and Social Care Academy and has since become a registered independent charity in November 2024. This year, the Buckinghamshire Community Wellbeing Hub was named Health Creating Community Space/Place of the Year at the 2025 Excellence in Health Creation Awards.
