The Chalfonts and Gerrards Cross BCW Hub is seeking an individual who would like to support day to day operations.
A bit about the hub:
The Buckinghamshire Community Wellbeing Hub is based in Chalfont St Peter and our core purpose is to support residents, students, and professionals across Bucks.
Our Three Core Objectives:
1) A shared space for collaboration and co located services. The BCW Hub provides a welcoming, inclusive environment where health and social care professionals, VCSE organisations, and community partners can work together. By co-locating services, we make it easier for residents to access the right support at the right time, while strengthening partnership working across Buckinghamshire.
2) Opportunities for students to learn, grow, and contribute. We offer students meaningful opportunities to develop skills and gain real-world experience. This includes volunteering, placements, job shadowing, project work, and training. Students gain confidence and employability skills while contributing to a service that directly benefits local communities.
3) Supporting student wellbeing and mental health. The BCW Hub complements existing wellbeing services by offering an additional layer of community-based support. Students can access social connection, wellbeing activities, workshops, and clear signposting to local services, helping them feel more supported and connected.
We help people to:
>Reduce loneliness and isolation by connecting them with community groups, social clubs, and local activities.
>Improve physical and mental wellbeing through access to exercise groups, wellbeing workshops, and supportive programmes.
>Access the right local support through friendly, clear signposting to community organisations and specialist services.
The voluntary opportunity on offer:
The Hub is seeking a proactive individual looking to develop their skills, knowledge, and professional attributes. There is a wide range of activities that volunteers can support at the Chalfonts and Gerrards Cross Buckinghamshire Community Wellbeing Hub. Some of these activities are described below:

• Experience with Communication: Develop communication skills, including assessing risks and working as part of a team.
• Researching opportunities: Engage in activities related to researching and evaluating the effectiveness or impact of various aspects within the hub's programmes or services. This could involve gathering information through surveys or other methods to understand the participants' perspectives and experiences.
• Administration and IT skills: Gain practical experience in administrative tasks and IT skills.
• Contribution to Voluntary Organisations: Play a role in the smooth running of a voluntary organisation, making a real difference to people’s lives.
