Summary

Fosterers are central to our operation, and we desperately need more fosterers to look after cats whilst they await new homes.

Detailed description

As a fosterer, you'll need a spare, secure room away from your other pets (if any) to keep a cat temporarily whilst it awaits a new home. If you have no other pets then you might opt to give the cat access to the whole house. Either way, your foster cats cannot have outdoor access.

You would need to expect that people would need to visit and see the cats, after having been vetted beforehand. All food, litter and vets bills are paid for so all you need to supply as a fosterer is the TLC.

After fostering for a while, you may like to consider becoming an outdoor fosterer. Outdoor fosterers need space in the garden to accommodate a pen/cattery. Being a fosterer is very rewarding but a lot of thought needs to be given before making the commitment as the charity would be purchasing a new pen and they are costly.
