Enjoy driving and meeting new people?

As a Support Driver, you'll do much more than provide a lift. You'll help blind and partially sighted people stay connected to their community by supporting them to attend Bucks Vision social groups and activities. Along the way, you'll offer a friendly conversation, a helping hand and the opportunity for someone to enjoy a day out.

Using your own vehicle, you'll drive members to and from activities in your local area and provide light sighted guiding support where needed. The role is flexible—you can simply drop members off and collect them later, or stay and enjoy activities such as lunch clubs, reading groups, tai chi, Pilates or walking groups.

We're looking for friendly, reliable volunteers who enjoy helping others and are confident working independently. You'll need a full UK driving licence, valid insurance and an MOT if required for your vehicle.

If you have a few hours to spare and would like to make a real difference while meeting new people, we'd love to hear from you.

Please note: This role requires an Enhanced DBS check, as you'll be supporting blind and partially sighted adults on a one-to-one basis.
