Love social media? Want to use your creativity for a good cause?
We’re looking for a Social Media Volunteer to help us share stories, celebrate achievements, and raise awareness of sight loss across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. Whether you enjoy writing, taking photos, or creating posts, you’ll be helping BucksVision connect with more people online.
Where & when?

What you will be doing:
- Creating engaging posts for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn (and possibly TikTok)
- Helping develop a social media plan and keeping our channels up to date
- Sharing news about BucksVision activities and events
- Encouraging followers to engage, share, and comment on posts
- Attending occasional events to capture content and write posts
- Monitoring engagement and suggesting new ideas to grow our reach
What skills and experience are needed?
- Confident using social media (Facebook & Instagram essential; other platforms a bonus)
- Ability to turn information into creative and engaging posts
- Good communication skills and a flair for writing
- An eye for photos, video, or storytelling is a plus!
What will you gain from the role?
- A chance to use your creativity for a great cause
- New skills and experience in PR, marketing, and digital content
- Valuable CV experience and professional development
- The satisfaction of helping raise awareness and build connections for people with sight loss
- Being part of a friendly team and making new contacts
What support will be given?
- Induction and training (including sight loss awareness)
- Ongoing training and development opportunities
- Out-of-pocket expenses covered
- Support from your Volunteer Manager and staff team
