Social & Activity Group Coordinator
Do you enjoy bringing people together?
As a Social & Activity Group Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of our community — creating welcoming spaces where blind and partially sighted people can socialise, build friendships, and take part in fun activities. From planning guest speakers and entertainment to making sure the kettle’s on, you’ll help make every session something to look forward to.

What you will be doing:
- Planning and organising a varied programme of entertainment and activities
- Helping set up and pack away the venue
- Keeping a simple record of attendees
- Encouraging members to get involved and feel welcome
- Coordinating and supporting volunteers so the group runs smoothly
- Liaising with your local divisional committee and Volunteer Manager
What skills and experience are needed?
- Friendly, welcoming and understanding
- Organised and reliable, with good planning skills
- A positive team player and natural encourager
- Creative, adaptable, and willing to problem-solve
- A sense of fun!
