Detailed description

Do you enjoy making people feel welcome?

As a Club Host Volunteer, you’ll help create a warm, friendly, and safe environment at our Stoke Poges club for blind and partially sighted people. From greeting members at the door to helping serve refreshments and tidying up afterwards, you’ll be part of a team that makes every club session enjoyable.

Where?

·        Stoke Poges (SL2)

What you will be doing:

·        Working with other stewards to ensure the club runs smoothly

·        Collecting keys, equipment, and supplies for sessions

·        Arriving early to set up tables, chairs, refreshments, and equipment

·        Welcoming members, guiding them to tables, and helping with introductions

·        Supporting organisers and catering volunteers during the session

·        Assisting drivers with guiding members to and from cars/taxis

·        Handing out items at the end of sessions and ensuring everyone leaves safely

·        Tidying and closing up the venue at the end

What skills and experience are needed?

·        Friendly, welcoming, and a good communicator

·        Enjoy working as part of a team

·        Enthusiastic, flexible, and reliable

·        Able to safely move light equipment (tables, chairs, etc.)

Criminal Record Check Information (DBS):

This role may require an Enhanced DBS check if combined with driving duties (working with adults at risk).
