Could you spare a few hours to help someone enjoy the game they love?

Aylesbury Rollers Bowls Club is looking for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to support blind and partially sighted bowlers. Whether you're a lifelong bowls fan or have never picked up a bowl before, you don't need any previous experience – we'll show you everything you need to know.

Volunteering with Aylesbury Rollers is a great way to meet new people, be part of a welcoming team and enjoy the fun and friendly atmosphere of match days. Your support helps make it possible for our members to take part in a sport they love while building confidence, friendships and independence.

You'll help prepare the rink before play, mark matches by letting players know where their bowls have finished in relation to the jack, keep the scoreboard updated, lend a hand with refreshments and help tidy away at the end of the session. If you're able to drive, there's also the opportunity to help transport members to and from the venue, although this is entirely optional.

We play indoors at Foxhills on Thursday mornings during the winter and outdoors at Hazels Bowls Club on Tuesday mornings throughout the summer.

If you're reliable, enjoy working with people and would like to make a real difference while having fun, we'd love to welcome you to the Aylesbury Rollers team.

Please note: If you choose to help with driving members to and from sessions, an Enhanced DBS check may be required, as this involves supporting adults at risk
