Complimentary Therapist-Aromatherapy, Reflexology and Massage

Stoke Mandeville Hospital, in ICU are Looking for Trained complimentary Therapists to assist with

Aromatherapy, Reflexology and Massage must have qualifications and be insured.

You will need to show your proof of your insurance.

Days & Times Negotiable with a minimum commitment of 6 months

What skills, knowledge and experience are helpful in this role?

• A minimum of one year’s experience of professional practice
• Registration with a recognised professional body with the relevant code of practice
• Your own professional indemnity insurance cover of £1 million
• Very good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to empathise
• Resilience and ability to handle difficult situations
• Maintain a calm and sensitive manner when dealing with distressed individuals
• Discretion and an awareness of the importance of confidentiality
• Listening skills and the ability to respond appropriately
• Motivation and willingness to learn and complete training
• Good interpersonal skills and able to interact with a diverse range of people
• Physically fit; able to stand/walk for 3 hours
• Experience in a healthcare setting might be helpful
• Would understand and apply CARE values 

Essential requirement/commitment:

• Volunteers must be a minimum of 18 years of age
• All Volunteers will require a DBS check.
• Participation in the training relevant to your role and confidential discussion of any reasonable adjustments required to meet your needs.
