We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can run or assist with the running of our ever popular Bounce & Rhyme sessions.

Hazlemere Library is looking for a volunteer to host Bounce & Rhyme, which will take place every week (term time) on Monday mornings from 10.30am-11am.

We are looking to start up our Bounce & Rhyme sessions at the start of the new school year in September 2026.

Our Bounce and Rhyme sessions offer music, stories and nursery rhymes to babies and toddlers under the age of 5.

As part of the role you will be required:

  • To assist with the setting up process for activities and help to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
  • To meet and greet families attending Bounce & Rhyme.
  • To run or assist with the delivery of our Bounce and Rhyme sessions.
  • Tasks will be carried out in a public environment.
  • Sessions last from 30 minutes – 1 hour.
  • To signpost queries from members of the public to the appropriate member of staff.
  • To take part in an induction process.
  • To be aware of Buckinghamshire Council’s aims, organisational values and behaviours and their impact on this role.
  • To carry out the duties of this role in accordance with the Council’s policies in respect of diversity and community cohesion

 

Skills required:

 

  • Good communicator and comfortable engaging with people, including those with additional needs
  • An interest and awareness of library services and early years development would be beneficial.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
