A key member of the Board, you will develop and lead a sustainable and longer-term fundraising strategy to generate income for long term growth.

Core Responsibilities

  • Fundraising Leadership — Lead the charity’s fundraising strategy and campaign plans, ensuring planning, budgeting, monitoring and reporting.
  • Experience in developing and executing income generation strategies.
  • Manage fundraising events, helping with marketing, communications and promotion
  • Identify and implement opportunities for corporate partnerships, major donor cultivation, and digital fundraising
  • Identify grant and other funding opportunities, manage the bid process and monitor and evaluate any successful bids
  • Support to the Board — Provide insight, guidance, and constructive challenge to help shape strategy and ensure responsible use of funds.

What are we looking for?

  • A Trustee with fundraising experience
  • A broad knowledge of fundraising methods such as grant applications, corporate partnerships, major donor cultivation, fundraising events or digital fundraising.
  • The ability to guide the team in identifying new funding opportunities to ensure long-term financial sustainability.
  • Helpful but not essential: a background in public relations, or marketing.
  • Communication skills and a strategic perspective -  Able to communicate to different stakeholders effectively, compassionately, and being attentive to timing to avoid overwhelming stakeholders with fundraisers
  • Experience in designing high-impact campaigns that drive engagement and behaviour change.
  • The ability to help us reach diverse audiences and a variety of stakeholders
  • Integrity & Accountability — Commitment to transparency, accuracy, and high ethical standards.
  • Collaborative Working Style — Willingness to work closely with trustees, volunteers, and external partners.
  • We welcome people from all backgrounds and are looking for other trustees in addition to financial and fundraising
